Franc Husar is one of the last genuine sons of the Pannonian Plain. Through his music he transmits his deepest, almost forgotten feelings and emotions in a very simple way and in the original rural dialect. He is well known in the realm of folk music from Prekmurje. Actually, he is the first artist from that area, who has recorded his music on a vinyl record. He was also the founder of the very popular band “Kri”. Back then, the band recorded a selection of numerous beautiful songs that are still popular today: Prekmurje, Madžarica, Ciganka, Neznanka and Ženske navade that won the first prize at the festival “Vesela Jesen” in Maribor in 1983.
After almost twenty years, Vedran celebrates a very successful comeback as a solo artist. His current and very expressive songs are written with his heart and soul and are as unique as his own life experiences. Not only people from Prekmurje know the song Rože iz Prekmurja but also many expatriates scattered around the globe. The song Golobica bejla was awarded ‘song of the year’ and Mokoš and Zbougon Angela were also nominated for the same award.
The musical talent that Vedran was endowed with at birth is a special one. In high hopes of many more beautiful, sincere and captivating songs, we will continue keeping him safe while carrying him on our wings.
